This video by our friend Anthony Kobrowisky captures the beauty and relaxed atmosphere of Tofo beach. The video is in High Definition so it might take a short while to load but it’s worth it so please be patient.
Tofo
With its turquoise waters and an impressive 8 km of white sandy beach, Tofo is a must for visitors to Mozambique. Set on the Indian Ocean with year round sunshine and world famous diving, it’s understandable why visitors don’t want to leave!
The market area has an array of fresh fish, fruit and vegetables along with local craft stalls in front of beautiful colourful textiles blowing in the breeze. There’s always great fun had bartering with the friendly locals.
By day you are spoilt with a choice of scuba diving, surfing, fishing, whale watching, snorkelling, sailing, quad biking and horse riding to name a few and if that sounds too much you can just relax on the clean, pristine beach. In the evenings the restaurants serve delicious fresh seafood with a friendly laid-back attitude to match, and the various beach bars have stunning views where you can enjoy ice cold sun-downers.
For scuba divers, the world class diving offers giant mantas and whale sharks all year round with Humpbacks and Orcas arriving from June every year. Sharks, turtles, dolphins and an abundance of fish make diving here spectacular and for the non-divers the Ocean Safaris enable everyone to get in the water with the magnificent whale sharks and giant mantas.
Known as “The land of good people” this charming beach paradise with its friendly people will have you returning year after year.
